SAN DIEGO – San Diego signed three members to its class of 2023, as announced recently by head coach Sam Scholl.
The Toreros will welcome the additions of Mikal Gjerde, Marion Humphrey and Sabry Philip.
“Our staff and program couldn’t be more excited about these three young men becoming Toreros,” said Scholl. “They all are high character men that come from amazing families. They have pride in their academics and really value the opportunity to receive a USD education.”
The group will join a Toreros program on the rise after a 20-win season in 2017-18 and a hot start this season.
“They are talented basketball players who have high ceilings in this game and each of them is ready to make an impact from the moment they step foot on campus,” added Scholl. “Torero fans are going to enjoy cheering for these three.”
